The 2026 green ombré Datejust 41 on the Oyster bracelet presents the same technically groundbreaking dial in the more robustly proportioned of the two available bracelet configurations. For collectors who approach the Datejust through its sporting heritage rather than its dressier associations, the three-link Oyster bracelet positions the green ombré dial within a more tool-watch context — a reading that aligns with Rolex's decision to offer this dial exclusively in stainless steel and white gold configurations, without diamond markers, a deliberate departure from how ombré Datejust dials have typically been presented since 2019. The result is a reference that wears the complexity of its lacquer construction with studied understatement.
The 41mm stainless steel Oyster case carries a white gold fluted bezel, paired with a three-link Oyster bracelet in stainless steel with Oysterclasp. The green ombré lacquer dial — built by applying green lacquer as a base, then spraying black lacquer concentrically to develop the gradient — presents applied luminous baton hour markers throughout and a date aperture at three o'clock beneath a Cyclops lens, with the gradient darkening perceptibly toward the rim. Caliber 3235 with approximately 70-hour power reserve powers the movement.
